About: 

​Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles (NLSLA) has been striving towards equity since its founding in 1965. As a product of the nation's War on Poverty in the 60's, its mission is to combat poverty through the judicial system to improve the lives of individuals and families in our community.

Services Provided at The Wellness Center:
Healthcare Enrollment & Legal Services: NLSLA collaborates with all partners at The Wellness Center to offer community education on legal rights such as tenant rights, wage claim recovery, immigrant rights, foreclosure, as well as health and welfare benefits. In addition, NLSLA assists individuals who lose or need help understanding their health benefits and refer individuals needing legal advice. NLSLA runs a  Health and Benefits Legal Advocacy clinic where litigants can talk to an attorney 1-to-1 about their concerns.
