About:
The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation has been tirelessly working to improve the lives of the Latino community for 50 years. Since its founding in 1963, they have been working to “provide for the socio-economic betterment of the greater Latino community of California, while preserving the pride, values, and heritage of the Mexican American culture."
Services Provided at The Wellness Center:
Food Acess: MAOF offers a food pantry, nutrition education and recipes once a month at The Wellness Center.
Health & Fitness Group Classes: MAOF offers a Zumba class for seniors as well.
Healthy Families, Children, & Youth: MAOF promotes wellness through culturally sensitive supportive services and educational workshops for Hispanic seniors and caregivers. MAOF works with community members in connecting them with social service programs such as LA Metro Access Program.
