MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH ACCESS
About:
Maternal and Child Health Access (MCHA) improves the health of low-income women and families through advocacy, education, training, and direct services. MCHA provides information, support, and technical assistance to health and social service organizations, assists individual women to achieve healthy pregnancies and obtain quality health care for themselves and their children, and educates policymakers and the general public to improve the health and social services systems to benefit the entire community.
Services Provided at The Wellness Center:
Healthcare Enrollment & Legal Assistance: MCHA works with uninsured and underinsured individuals and families providing outreach and enrollment assistance for free and low-cost health coverage programs, including the Medi-Cal, My Health LA (MHLA), and Covered California exchange products.
Food Access: MCHA also provides onsite CalFresh screening, enrollment and case management for individuals. The program is aimed at low-income households in need of food assistance.
